Privacy

Plain-English summary

This policy covers both amandacryer.com and rewiredcollective.com, run by the same team. Analytics is optional and loads only after you click Accept on the privacy banner. We don't sell your data, and we don't share it with advertisers. The personal information we collect is what you voluntarily give us through a sign-up or contact form on either site — your email, and your name or phone number if you choose to include them. Every form submission is also recorded directly on our own server (in addition to being emailed to us), specifically so a submission is never silently lost if our email provider has a hiccup. That record is kept in a private, password-protected database that only Amanda Kasmira "Kazzy" Cryer can access.

What we collect

Sign-up and contact forms (amandacryer.com and rewiredcollective.com)

Every email sign-up form and the contact form on either site sends your submission to our form-processing provider, Formspree, which emails it to us. At the same time, independently of that email, the same submission is recorded directly in our own private database — this is intentional redundancy, not tracking: it means a submission is never lost even if Formspree has an outage. What we store for each submission: the email address you enter; your name, phone number, or message if you choose to include them (all optional except email); the date and time; which page and which of our two sites it came from; and the IP address your submission came from. This database is password-protected (with automatic lockout after repeated failed login attempts) and is only accessible to Amanda Kasmira “Kazzy” Cryer. We use this data only to respond to you, to maintain our mailing list, and to keep an accurate record of who has reached out — never to sell it, share it with advertisers, or use it for anything else. Sign-up forms also include a hidden spam trap (a form field real visitors never see or fill in); submissions that trip it are discarded and never stored. You can ask us to delete your record at any time — see Your rights below.

If you'd rather subscribe without using our on-site form, you can follow mykazzy.substack.com directly — Substack processes that subscription under its own privacy policy, and we only see your address to send periodic updates (about one note a month).

Hire, press, and screener-request links

Some links on this site (for booking and press/screener requests) use your local email client (mailto) instead of a form. Information you send this way arrives at The Rewired Collective directly by email and isn't stored in the database described above. We use it only to respond to you about the inquiry.

Server logs

The web host this site runs on may keep standard server access logs (IP address, user agent, timestamp, requested URL) for security, abuse prevention, and basic operations. We don't analyze these logs for any other purpose.

Cookies & tracking

This site uses localStorage to remember whether you accepted or rejected optional analytics. Google Analytics is loaded only after an affirmative Accept choice; if you reject or ignore the banner, it is not loaded. You can clear this value at any time via your browser's site-data settings.

We do not use Meta Pixel, Hotjar, advertising pixels, or cross-context behavioral advertising technology.

Third-party services we link to

Google Fonts

This site loads fonts (Jost and DM Sans) from Google Fonts via fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com. When your browser requests a font file from Google's servers, Google may log your IP address, browser user agent, referrer URL, and timestamp as standard CDN traffic. This constitutes a transfer of technical data to Google LLC (United States). We chose Google Fonts because it is the most widely accessible and performance-optimized source for these typefaces. If you prefer to prevent this data transfer, you can block fonts.googleapis.com in your browser or use a browser extension that self-hosts web fonts. A future version of the site may self-host these fonts — see our GitHub for status.

Google Analytics

If configured and accepted, this site may load Google Analytics to understand aggregate page traffic and improve the site. Analytics is consent-gated and is not loaded for visitors who reject the banner. We do not use Google Analytics for advertising personalization.

Clearbit Logo API

Logos on the Quotes and Press pages load from Clearbit's free logo API (logo.clearbit.com). Your browser makes a direct request to Clearbit's servers when loading these images, which may log your IP and user agent. No personal data is sent.

PayPal

Donations are processed by PayPal on behalf of From The Heart Productions, our 501(c)(3) fiscal sponsor. PayPal's own privacy policy and processing-fee structure apply. We do not receive or retain any financial transaction data from PayPal.

External links

Links to third-party sites (IMDb, LinkedIn, Forbes, YouTube, livingundonemovie.com, etc.) are governed by those sites' own privacy policies. We are not responsible for their data practices.

Your rights

Whether or not you live somewhere with a strict privacy law, we operate as if you do:

To exercise any of these rights, email contact@rewiredcollective.com. We respond within 30 days.

Donor privacy

The Rewired Collective adheres to the AFP (Association of Fundraising Professionals) Donor Bill of Rights and the following donor-privacy commitments:

For questions about a specific donation, the fiscal sponsor From The Heart Productions may be contacted at fromtheheartproductions.com.

California residents (CCPA / CPRA)

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), grants you additional rights regarding your personal information.

We do not sell or share your personal information for monetary or other valuable consideration, and we do not use it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

You have the right to:

  1. Know what personal information we collect, use, disclose, or sell (we don't sell or share it).
  2. Delete personal information we hold about you, subject to certain exceptions.
  3. Correct inaccurate personal information we hold about you.
  4. Opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information (not applicable — we don't do this).
  5. Non-discrimination — we will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.

To exercise your CCPA/CPRA rights, email contact@rewiredcollective.com with the subject line "California Privacy Request." We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16.

EU / UK residents (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Union or United Kingdom, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and UK GDPR may apply to our processing of your personal data. This section provides the information required by GDPR Article 13.

Data controller: The Rewired Collective, United States of America. Contact: contact@rewiredcollective.com. Postal address pending confirmation.

We do not specifically target EU or UK residents with this website, and we have no office or establishment in the EU/UK. We do not have a designated EU representative under GDPR Article 27 because our data processing is occasional, does not involve large-scale processing of special category data, and is unlikely to result in a high risk to individuals.

Lawful basis for processing:

Data retention: Newsletter subscriber data is retained until you unsubscribe. Sign-up and contact form database records (email, name, phone, message, IP address, timestamp) are retained until you ask us to delete them, or until we no longer need them for mailing-list and contact-history purposes. Mailto inquiry data is retained for as long as necessary to fulfill the inquiry and any follow-up, typically no more than two years. Server logs are retained for 30 days.

Your GDPR rights: access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, portability, and objection. To exercise any of these rights, email contact@rewiredcollective.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority in the EU member state or UK where you reside.
